Healing Energy for Mom and Baby

PREGNANCY IS ONE OF LIFE’S MOST BEAUTIFUL AND SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCES. HOWEVER, THE JOURNEY TO MOTHERHOOD CAN ALSO BE ACCOMPANIED BY A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT STRESSORS ON THE MIND, BODY AND SOUL.

Reiki offers healing energy not only for mothers-to-be but also to their unborn babies. Today, all of my pregnant clients who receive Reiki confirm feeling more relaxed, balanced and radiant after treatments. Reiki can also help expecting moms to let go of any fears, anxieties or negative feelings they may be experiencing during pregnancy. Reiki will support the mother’s body as she grows and changes, and can give relief to lower back pain, tension in the neck and shoulders and insomnia. And what mom to be doesn’t want to sleep more soundly and feel more relaxed and connected with her baby?

I also cannot discount the value of reiki post partum! Nearly every new mom feels slightly depressed or overwhelmed at some point during the first few days that follow delivery ( I remember those days!). Reiki offers several benefits for moms suffering from postpartum depression.

Mothers suffering from postpartum depression often feel alone, withdrawn and disconnected from the people around them. The one-on-one attention received during a Reiki session may help the mother to feel more grounded and connected to the world around her. Reiki also allows new mothers a chance to relax and recharge.

Relaxation activates the parasympathetic nervous system and soothes both mind and body. This response creates a positive biochemical state also benefited by the baby! Maternal stress affects fetal brain development; the more you can do to feel happy and positive, the more healthy your baby is too.

Reiki’s gentle and intuitive nature makes it a perfect therapy option that every pregnant woman should consider.
